Old Glory Honor Flight has been getting a lot of attention as of late.
At the Tee it Up Fore Troops golf outing, the organization was given over $50,000, $20,000 of which was raised by listeners of Seehafer Broadcasting radio stations.
That is enough to send a full plane of 100 veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the war memorials, but how do you get your name on the list?
Dan Reinke, the organizer of the golf outing, will be in the Village Hall at Felician Village in Manitowoc at 11:00 a.m. on June 4th to explain exactly how the program works.
All Vietnam era and Korean era Veterans are encouraged to attend, however, only Veterans who served prior to May 7, 1975, are now eligible to go on the trip.
Spouses and family members are also encouraged to attend, as information will be available on how to be a Guardian on a flight.
A free lunch will be provided to all attendees.
Interested attendees should RSVP to Tanya at Felician Village, 920-684-7171, ext. 402, or tlulloff@felicianvillage.org.
