A local organization has made a donation to a Wisconsin camp focused on serving adults and children with disabilities.
The Manitowoc Golden K awarded $2,400 to Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, which is a part of the Easter Seals.
The money was raised during the Golden K’s annual Spring Lily Drive and will go towards funds subsidizing camperships and support capital improvement projects, including a renovated swimming pool, playground equipment, arts and crafts tables, and more.
On top of offering a fun summer camp experience for those with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, epilepsy, Down syndrome, and more, Camp Wawbeek also hosts free Veterans Families Camps in the spring and fall.
