The main bridge on Memorial Drive in Two Rivers could be reopened this afternoon (May 23rd).
The latest update from City Manager Greg Buckley says the Washington Street Bridge will remain closed until then.
Northeast Asphalt will also place a thin leveling layer on all travel lanes and intersections this week.
The paving contractor will apply the top 2-inch lift of asphalt paving.
The through-traffic detour is also scheduled to end today.
However, there will be lane restrictions and impacts as the remaining paving and restoration work is completed.
The announcement came from Buckley’s weekly report on Monday, but with the recent wet weather, opening and asphalt paving could be pushed back.
The entire project is scheduled to be finished by July of this year.
