After a brief search, authorities in Manitowoc located a suspect in a hit and run.
The Manitowoc Police Department put out a statement last night (May 22nd) asking for the public’s help in locating a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was involved in a hit and run, causing injury at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Lilac Drive.
From numerous witnesses on the scene, police learned that the driver of the pickup struck the victim’s vehicle and left the area heading northbound on Mirro Drive at a high rate of speed.
In their statement, Manitowoc PD noted that the Dodge Ram would have significant front-end damage as a result of the crash.
However, a follow-up release just after 10:00 p.m. alerted the public that the suspect driver of the pickup had been located.
At this time, no information regarding the driver’s identity or the condition of the injured victim has been released.
