For the second month in a row, home prices in Manitowoc County rose slightly.
As reported by the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average home sold in the County in the month of April went for $209,500, which is $4,500 more than in March and $11,000 more than in April of 2024.
The number of homes sold stayed relatively steady, with the 64 sales reported last month being only three more than March and four more than last April.
These stars follow a similar trend seen around the state.
The median price of all homes sold in Wisconsin in April was $322,000, which is $12,000 more than March and $22,000 more than last year, while the 5,051 sales were 722 more than the previous month and 481 fewer than last year.
Chris DeVincentis, the Chair of the WRA Board of Directors, called it a “seller’s market statewide, but we are seeing signs of improvement in our smaller communities as well as in rural parts of the state.”
WRA President and CEO Tom Larson noted that the 10.4% drop in sales over the past year is nothing to worry about as “April of last year was a very strong month for sales.”
