Several local and area girls’ softball teams begin play this afternoon (May 22nd) in the WIAA Tournament.
In Division Four regionals, Manitowoc Lutheran hosts Howards Grove, St. Mary Catholic hosts Gibraltar/Washington Island, and Ozaukee plays in Jackson against Living Word Lutheran /Heritage Christian.
Division Three games include Kiel hosting Sturgeon Bay, Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian is at Wrightstown, and Oostburg hosts Cedar Grove/Belgium.
In Division Two, Sheboygan South visits Grafton, Berlin hosts Sheboygan Falls/Kohler, and Little heads to Green Bay to play Notre Dame.
Regular season games include Manitowoc Lincoln travelling to Green Bay Southwest, Valders visiting Algoma, state-ranked Brillion hosts Reedsville, Elkhart Lake/ Glenbeulah is at Hilbert, Random Lake is home for Campbellsport, Plymouth travels to Kewaskum, Kewaunee hosts Crivitz, and Sheboygan North is at Bay Port.
Elsewhere, Green Bay Southwest is home for West De Pere, Menasha visits De Pere, Ashwaubenon is home for Green Bay Preble at 4:30 p.m. and will host Freedom at 7 p.m., Little Chute is at Notre Dame, and undefeated Fox Valley Lutheran heads across Appleton to play Xavier.
