Senator Ron Johnson claims federal health agencies intentionally hid the link between the COVID-19 vaccines and Myocarditis.
Johnson, who represents Wisconsin and is the Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, released a Majority Staff Report and more than 2,400 pages of records, which he says details the “failure of federal health agencies to properly warn the public of the risks of myocarditis and related heart inflammation conditions following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.”
The Mayo Clinic defines myocarditis is the inflammation of the heart muscle, which can reduce the heart’s ability to pump blood.
The PSI held a hearing Wednesday afternoon, where Wisconsin Republican Senator Johnson said that numerous documents requested by citizens and reporters through the Freedom of Information Act held heavy redactions, which were applied by the Biden Administration.
However, Johnson noted, “Despite these obstructive efforts, these individuals initially raised awareness of Biden’s administration’s failure to immediately warn the public about myocarditis and other serious adverse events linked to the COVID-19 injections.”
Cardiologist Dr. Peter McCulloughm testified about two situations that support the claim.
The first was for a 42-year-old man who was confirmed to have vaccine myocarditis and died within three days, despite being admitted to Washington University Hospital.
A second, younger individual died within 8 hours of being admitted.
“These cases, which were widely known at the time, should have gotten everyone’s attention,” Dr. McCulloughm told the PSI.
Ranking Member Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat representing Connecticut, disagreed with the idea that the vaccines were dangerous.
“COVID-19 vaccines have saved millions and millions of lives,” he explained. “There is no scientific question about that fact.”
