Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha reports that one of its members was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
A pastor from the congregation met with ICE officers at the individual’s home, and the person was later taken to a detention facility in Milwaukee.
The church says the individual has since been released under monitoring conditions.
A prayer service was held by the church in response to the incident.
