New ambulances have hit the streets in the City of Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Fire Department has shared that two new, state-of-the-art ambulances have been added to their fleet.
These new vehicles will significantly enhance safety for both patients and EMS workers alike.
The ambulances have been long awaited as the current fleet is aging and has been in service for nearly two decades.
The first ambulance, MED 1853, was placed into service on May 10th at Station 3, while ambulance two, MED 1854, debuted yesterday (May 20th) at Station 2.
Each has been equipped with advanced safety features with a focus on patient care. This includes five-point harnesses for secure patient and provider restraint during transport, FERNO Power load patient cots and stair chairs, and more.
In the announcement, the Fire Department expressed its thanks to the Common Council for making this happen.
