A man from Seymour is going to prison for his role in a violent 2024 altercation.
Court Documents show that 35-year-old Jeffrey L. Proski appeared inside an Outagamie County courtroom on Monday (May 19th) after pleading guilty in February to felony charges of Mayhem, Strangulation and Suffocation, Discharging Bodily Fluid at a Public Safety Worker, Aggravated Battery Intending Great Bodily Harm, and False Imprisonment.
At Monday’s hearing, Judge Carrie Schneider sentenced Proski to spend 25 years in prison, followed by 15 years on extended supervision.
The 35-year-old was arrested in March of last year by the Seymour Police Department after they were called to the 100 block of South Main Street for a violent disturbance.
As police arrived on scene, Proski was observed leaving the Seymour home and was taken into custody.
After his detention, authorities located a female victim inside the home with serious injuries sustained at the hands of Proski.
As part of his sentencing, Proski will be required to complete a domestic violence intervention program and undergo counseling.
