The former Mishicot High School gym teacher charged with the repeated sexual assault of a child has now been handed federal charges.
37-year-old Ryan Schroeder had previously been charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child, 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, 10 counts of possession of child pornography, and sexual assault by a school staff member.
However, WBAY reports that the 37-year-old is now facing two additional federal charges of Production of Child Pornography.
While no further details are available on the federal case, this brings the total number of charges that he faces to over 20.
A criminal complaint accuses Schroeder of having sexual contact with two victims, including having sex with a juvenile girl when she was 14 and 16 years old.
It is alleged that those acts happened more than 50 times and at least 10 times inside Mishicot High School.
Schroeder returns to court for a hearing in Manitowoc County court on June 6th.
