Authorities have identified the female body found in a Green Bay river earlier this month.
The Green Bay Police Department has said the body found in the Fox River on May 9th is that of 47-year-old Elisabeth Babcock from Howard.
Investigations that followed have led police to believe that no foul play is suspected in Babcock’s death.
Green Bay Police received a call on the 9th around noon stating that a passerby had found a body in the Fox River in the area of the 100 block of Bay Beach Road.
Babcock’s body was removed shortly thereafter by police with the assistance of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
While no foul play is suspected, the Green Bay Police Department still asks anyone with information regarding Babcock’s death to contact them at 920-448-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 920-432-7867.
