
An emergency situation at a UW-Platteville dorm prompted a brief shelter-in-place order late yesterday afternoon.
Campus officials issued the alert around 4:30 p.m., which was lifted shortly after.
The Grant County coroner responded to the scene, and university authorities have since canceled final exams for the week.
Counseling services are now available to students.
According to Campus Police Chief Joe Hallman, one individual was taken from the residence hall to a hospital, and no arrests have been made.
