The next Alice in Dairyland has been selected.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) says Sarah Hagenow of Poynette was selected as the 78th Alice in Dairyland and will work for a year as the full-time communications professional for the group.
The DATCP explains that Hagenow feels at home in Wisconsin even though she’s a senior at the University of Minnesota.
She’ll graduate with a degree in agriculture and food business management and a minor in international agriculture.
Hagenow says, “I can’t wait to start visiting communities all across the state, learning more about the diverse people and places that make Wisconsin the agricultural powerhouse it is, and giving voice to their stories of dedication and inspiration.”
She will succeed Halei Heinzel of Oconomowoc in July.
