The Mishicot baseball team was able to end a five-game skid and upset Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah in a Big East North matchup 4-0.
It was a scoreless battle through the first two and a half innings at Mishicot High School, before the Indians broke through with a pair in the 3rd.
Eli Skarda continued his domination on the mound for the Indians, holding them scoreless the entire way, while the offense tagged on a pair of runs in the 5th and 6th innings to secure the win.
Brogan Wasurick had a night to remember, driving home three of his team’s runs on his 2 hits, while Seth Rauber had a pair of doubles, one of which drove home the final run.
The win snaps a five-game losing streak for Mishicot, as they improve to 7-13 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, meanwhile, falls to 11-6, and 4-5 in conference, but will have a chance to exact revenge this week.
The Indians will invade the Resorters’ home diamond on Thursday in what will be Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah’s final game of the regular season.
Mishicot does have one more game on the schedule, a home game against Sturgeon Bay next Tuesday.
