
High School girls’ softball teams are preparing for postseason play as the WIAA Tournament opens Thursday afternoon with opening round regional games.
The final Tuesday of the regular season features a matchup in Valders between the host Vikings and the state-ranked Random Lake Rams.
Valders is looking to start a new winning streak after having a nine-gamer snapped by Chilton last week, while The Rams look to build on an impressive season which includes a Big East South Division title.
Elsewhere, Manitowoc Lincoln hosts Green Bay Southwest at Citizen’s Park, Roncalli hosts Gibraltar, Manitowoc Lutheran hosts St. Mary Catholic, Two Rivers is at Oconto Falls, Brillion entertains Reedsville, Hilbert hosts Kiel, Chilton has a short road trip to New Holstein, Plymouth travels to Kewaskum, Kewaunee is home for Crivitz, and Sheboygan North heads up to Bay Port.
Meanwhile, Green Bay Preble visits Ashwaubenon, Notre Dame Academy hosts Pulaski, Green Bay West/ East is home for Oconto, Shawano is on the road for West De Pere, and Luxemburg Casco hosts The Sevastopol Pioneers.
In high school baseball, Roncalli hosts Sheboygan Falls, St. Mary Catholic visits Lancer Circle to play Manitowoc Lutheran, Chilton visits Valders, Kiel and Two Rivers meet in an All-Raider battle in Two Rivers, Howards Grove hosts Reedsville, New Holstein ventures to Brillion, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is home for Heritage Christian of Waupun, Waupun hosts The Plymouth Panthers, Denmark is in Appleton to battle Fox Valley Lutheran, Cedar Grove-Belgium heads to Ozaukee, and Kewaunee has a short trip to Sturgeon Bay.
Also, Southern Door is home for Sevastopol, state-ranked Gibraltar/ Washington Island entertains Green Bay NEW Lutheran/ Providence Academy, Green Bay East/ West hosts Xavier, West De Pere visits The Menasha Bluejays, Oconto Falls heads to Luxemburg Casco and The Wrightstown Tigers are in Little Chute to lay The Mustangs.
In girls soccer, Manitowoc Lincoln hosts their second match in as many nights as they host De Pere at Rubick Field, Valders hosts Green Bay NEW Lutheran/ Providence Academy, state-ranked Cedar Grove-Belgium is home for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, two of the best Division Four teams in the state meet in Howards Grove as the Tigers host Ozaukee/Random Lake, Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian entertains St. Mary Catholic, Kohler ventures to Oostburg, and state-ranked Plymouth is at Winneconne.
Elsewhere, Green Bay Southwest visits Pulaski, Bay Port heads down to Sheboygan North, Ashwaubenon is home for Green Bay Preble, Fox Valley Lutheran is at Denmark, Luxemburg Casco entertains Marinette, and in an all-Tiger affair, Ripon hosts Wrightstown.
