A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing two vehicles in one day.
Officers were first called to the 800 block of North 11th Street at 10:15 Saturday morning (May 17th) to investigate the disappearance of a Silver Buick.
The aforementioned vehicle was later located in the trailer park on Johnston Drive.
A suspect was identified, and after being detained, the 32-year-old woman eventually admitted to taking the vehicle.
Then, just before 11:30 p.m., officers were called to investigate the theft of a separate vehicle, a gold or tan Chevy Silverado. The owner admitted to inadvertently leaving the keys in the vehicle in the parking lot of a Kwik Trip.
The suspect from the first theft was caught on camera at the store getting into the driver’s seat and driving away.
She admitted to that theft as well, and said she had parked it near Evergreen Cemetery.
She is now facing two counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without the Owner’s Consent.
