A Sheboygan businesswoman was recently honored by Insight on Business.
Lynn Potyen, the owner of The GameBoard in downtown Sheboygan, was given the 2025 Women of Influence Business Owner Award for “her visionary approach that has transformed how people view tabletop gaming.”
The Women of Influence Awards go to women who have “made a significant impact on their industry and community.”
Potyen said of the honor, “Throughout my career, I’ve tried to show that games are more than just entertainment—they’re powerful tools for education, therapy, and bringing people together. This recognition tells me that my message is getting out, which will give The GameBoard the ability to reach and positively impact more people.”
Potyen and the other winners will be honored at a luncheon on July 29th at the Oneida Casino Hotel in Green Bay and featured in the Women of Influence special edition.
