It was a big weekend for the Kiel girls soccer team.
The Raiders hosted seven other teams Saturday and dominated in their three matchups.
In game one, the Raiders shut out Shawano 5-0, with Jasmine Bink and Deanna Schwaller each netting a pair of goals.
Taavi Saeger also found the back of the net, something she was able to do twice in game two against Manitowoc Lincoln as a part of a 3-1 win.
The Ships actually started off the scoring, taking a 1-0 lead, but Kiel made an adjustment on defense and held the Ships scoreless the rest of the way.
Schaller also tickled the twine in game two, while Mya Langenfeld continued her strong day in net.
Closing out the day, Kiel shut out Random Lake/Ozaukee 4-0.
Raiders’ coach Mike Pritchard noted that both teams started slow, but his team’s deep bench overwhelmed the visitors, with Schwaller tallying a pair of goals, while Harper Walsdorf, and Ava Fuhrmann also tickled the twine.
The win bumps Kiel to 13-3-1, and they remain tied for the top spot in the EWC at 4-0-1.
They will put that conference record on the line this Thursday, as they travel to Roncalli to take on the co-op of Roncalli/Two Rivers.
