Nobody was home during a house fire in Appleton over the weekend.
WFRV reports that the Appleton Fire Department was called to the 1700 block of Elinor Street around 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning (May 18th).
The caller said that there was visible smoke from the roof vents and smoke alarms coming from inside the house.
The fire crew found the smoke and forced their way inside to put out the fire.
Authorities say damage to the home was about $100,000.
The cause has not been determined.
