The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce is helping area students pursue higher education.
The Chamber has shared that they have awarded four students from the county with $1,000 scholarships.
The scholarship recipients include Carter Maranell of Howards Grove High School, Jackline Kakuzi from Sheboygan Lutheran, and Owen Melei and Molly Rankin, both seniors at Sheboygan North High School.
Maranell will be attending Lakeshore College in the fall, while Kakuzi will attend Marian University.
Melei is enrolled to attend UW-Lacross,e and Rankin will stay in Sheboygan County to attend Lakeland College.
This annual round of scholarships provided by the chamber is made possible through their yearly golf outing held every August.
Each applicant for the scholarships was required to write an essay that focused on leadership, community service, and promoting Sheboygan County.
These essays, along with individual achievements and awards, were then reviewed by the chamber’s Ambassador scholarship committee to determine the winners.
