A Fond du Lac man is in custody after fleeing from police.
WBAY reports that a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a car traveling over the speed limit on West Johnson Street near Park Avenue yesterday (May 19th) at approximately 1:30 a.m.
The deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, however, when the siren and lights were activated, the driver a 22-year-old from the City of Fond du Lac, fled.
The 22-year-old headed south on Amory Street blew a stop sign and continued onto East Rees Street.
The driver then lost control of the car, struck a curb, and came to a stop on the lawn of a residential home.
The collision with the curb disabled the vehicle, and the driver was taken into custody and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
He is being held on charges of Fleeing or Eluding and under suspicion of OWI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
No injuries were reported during the chase that spanned roughly half a mile.
