Acuity Insurance has announced five new directors and six other promotions.
Valerie del Perugia joins Acuity as Director – Customer Experience. Valerie earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from San Jose State University and a master’s degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
Jeff Gulke joins Acuity as Regional Market Director. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on marketing from Trinity Christian College and holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation. Jeff resides in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin.
Denise Hamalainen joins Acuity as Director – IT Procurement and Budget. She studied chemical engineering at the University of Kansas and earned her master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst University.
Pam Hegg joins Acuity as Regional Market Director. Pam earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Shannon Simpson joins Acuity as Regional Market Director. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Baker University. Shannon resides in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Melissa Cohen is promoted to Senior Human Resources Operations Specialist. She started her Acuity career in January 2023 as a Human Resources Specialist. Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and a master’s degree in employment and labor relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She currently resides in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
Matthew Kirmse is promoted to Associate Actuary. Matthew started his Acuity career in May 2021 as an Actuarial Analyst. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in actuarial science from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Matthew resides in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Nicole Kirsten is promoted to Manager – Services. She joined Acuity in January 2021 as a Licensed Service Specialist. Nicole holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. She resides in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.
Tia Kopetsky is promoted to Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist. She started her Acuity career in November 2023 as a Human Resources Specialist. Tia earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources and marketing with a web presence emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She holds the Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Career Readiness Mentor and Certified Leadership Professional certifications.
Mathew Seremet is promoted to Senior Commercial Underwriter. Mathew joined Acuity in July 2024 as a Commercial Underwriter. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana State University with a minor in insurance and risk management. Mathew resides in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
Mike Sparks is promoted to Property Claims Specialist. Mike started his Acuity career in March 2024 as a Senior Field Claims Representative. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University. Mike resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
