A staple in Elkhart Lake is opening up its 70th anniversary season this weekend.
Road America’s 70th year of operations will jumpstart today (May 16th) with Spring Vintage Weekend.
The annual event will run from today until Sunday (May 18th), with gates opening at 7:00 a.m. each of the three days.
Spring Vintage will feature a plethora of racing events and is highlighted by the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association’s (SVRA) SpeedTour.
SpeedTour classes include Formula 5,000, Formula Ford, Sports racing, and more.
Non-SVRA affiliated circuits to compete this weekend will include International GT Porsche and Ferrari cars, the Dave Wheeler Memorial Mazda Miata Race, and the Ligier Junior Formula Championship, which is often seen as a stepping stone for young drivers who are trying to get into the formula racing scene.
Tickets for the Spring Vintage Weekend can be bought for a single day or in three-day packages.
