
There’s a new principal at Washington Middle School.
The Manitowoc Public School District tells Seehafernews.com that Lainey Longmeyer, an associate principal at Lincoln High School has been tasked to be the next leader at Washington.
Longmeyer is a Manitowoc native and Lincoln alum who has a degree in Special Education from UW-Stevens Point and began her teaching career at Lincoln in 2017.
She became the associate principal at Lincoln in 2022. Longmeyer told the district she was passionate about providing students at Washington Middle School opportunities to achieve high levels and working alongside the committed staff members to get there.
Her first day will be July 1st pending approval of the Manitowoc Public School Board.
Former Washington Principal Terry Brenner resigned from the position, and Andrew Jones will serve as interim principal.
