A three-game losing streak for the Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team has ended, thanks to a 5-1 win over Kewaunee.
After a scoreless 1st inning, the Ships plated four runs in the 2nd and 3rd, and after giving up the Storm’s only run of the day in the 5th, retaliated with one more run, and Gabe Eichmann shut down Kewaunee on the mound.
Eichman pitched five innings, allowing just one hit while striking out 7 batters.
Cade Grapentine was flawless in the final two innings, striking out a pair.
At the plate, Noah Blaser, Seth Gibault, and Benson Dickrell each have one RBI, while Eichman notched a pair of hits, and Turner Sorenson and Vance Schroeder all notched a hit.
The Ships will return to FRCC play today, as they host Pulaski at Municipal Field.
