An area cellphone company is still experiencing an outage in Northeastern Wisconsin.
Cellcom has stated that, as of 10:50 p.m. yesterday (May 15th), the service outage that we previously reported is yet to be resolved.
This outage is currently affecting both its voice services and SMS messaging services.
However, Cellcom has confirmed that 911 emergency services are up and fully operational, as are cellphone data services.
The company is recommending users to use applications such as iMessage, RCS messaging, or third-party applications such as WhatsApp, as they too are fully operational.
At this time, Cellcom teams are actively working to resolve the issue, but do not have a timeline for when the outage may end.
In the latest update, Cellcom said, “This isn’t just a service disruption; it’s a disruption to our community, our families, and our everyday lives. And we take that personally.”
The telecommunications company has stated that additional updates will be given today when they can be made.
