An attorney for the woman convicted in a 2022 Green Bay homicide wants to withdraw from her appeals case.
Fox 11 reports that Attorney Greg Petit filed a no-merit report in November last year, meaning he felt there were no grounds to appeal the case against 27-year-old Taylor Schabusiness.
Court documents now show he’s since filed to withdraw from the case.
Schabusiness was convicted in 2023 in the gruesome murder of Shad Thyrion and his now serving a life sentence for 1st-degree intentional homicide and mutilating a corpse.
She’s also facing charges of attacking a security guard at Taycheedah Correctional.
She’s also now being represented by the same lawyer who represented her during her homicide trial after she tried to attack another lawyer while facing charges of battery by prisoners.
She’s due back in Fond du Lac County Court on June 3rd.
