The date has been set for a yearly outdoor tradition in Sheboygan County.
The Sheboygan County Planning and Conservation Department has announced that the 28th annual Outdoor Activity and Free Fishing Day will take place on June 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at River Park in Sheboygan Falls.
Throughout the event, there will be free fishing opportunities with rods, reels, and bait provided.
Those participating will not need a fishing license through the DNR, and fish cleaning and cooking will be provided for those who hook a keeper.
Additionally, there will be a $50 prize awarded to any angler under the age of 16 who catches a golden trout.
Aside from the fishing, attendees will be able to go canoeing, enjoy a BB gun range, and participate in free kids’ raffles all day.
There will also be brats, burgers, drinks, and other concessions available for purchase.
This event aims to encourage youth outdoor recreation and is made possible in part by the YMCA, Camp Y-Koda, and the Sheboygan County Conservation Association.
