
The Mishicot Indians defeated St. Mary Catholic 14 to 1 in five innings Tuesday afternoon in Fox Crossing to claim their seventh consecutive Big East-North conference championship.
The Indians jumped on the Zephyrs for five runs in the first inning and scored five more in the third to put the game away.
Mishicot had 17 hits on the day, with Kiran Sanford and Eva Boness leading the way with three hits each. Cooper Brouchoud, Kasey Brouchoud, Sierra Skarda, and Emma Schmidt added two hits each, with Sanford, Cooper Brouchoud, Kaelin Adair, Karysn Krause, and Boness each knocking in two runs.
Kiran Sanford continued her dominance on the mound as she threw all five innings, allowing one earned run on one hit, walking none, and striking out eleven to earn her 19th win this season.
Mishicot plays its final regular-season home game Thursday afternoon against Reedsville.
They are scheduled to finish the regular season at Random Lake next Monday (May 19th).
