A player for Cedar Grove-Belgium stands alone as the highest-scoring girls soccer player in state history.
Senior forward Cora Erickson has broken the Wisconsin all-time scoring record and now sits at 516 points and counting for her career.
In the Rockets’ 4-1 victory against Kohler last week, Erickson bagged a goal and an assist to break a tie with the now former record holder, Ashley Bares of Ozaukee, who put up 505 points from 2004 to 2007.
Erickson’s production for the Rockets has been unprecedented since her freshman year, when she scored 55 goals and added 19 assists.
Her sophomore and junior seasons took it up a notch as she found the back of the net 66 times each season while setting up her teammates with assists 18 times in 2023 and 19 times in 2024.
As it stands this season, the star forward sits at 38 goals and 10 assists while Cedar Grove-Belgium is undefeated with a record of 16-0.
With four games remaining in the regular season and a potential third consecutive state championship appearance in her future, Erickson has a chance to put some distance between herself and the others in the record books.
Erickson has committed to play Division One soccer next year at Eastern Illinois University in the Ohio Valley Conference.
