Senior Tessa Campbell of Manitowoc Lincoln smashed the school record in the 800-meter run at a meet held in Kiel Tuesday night.
Tessa won the race in 2 minutes 17 and 24 hundredths seconds, breaking Sue Hebert’s previous record of 2 minutes 18 and seven-tenths seconds set in 1979.
Campbell also broke her own school record in the 400-meter dash last Saturday at The Arrowhead Myrhum Invitational in Hartland.
She ran the race in 56 and 81 hundredths seconds. Tessa has the fourth-fastest time in the state in the 400 and the 10th-best in the 800-meter run in all divisions.
