The Reedsville Panthers took down the Mishicot Indians in High School Baseball action yesterday.
A late game push by the Indians proved not to be enough as the Panthers would win 11-3.
The game would stay scoreless until the bottom of the 3rd inning as Reedsville would get the lead after getting two base runners across home plate, making it 2-0.
The Panthers would follow it up with four runs in the 4th, pushing their lead to six.
A rally in the 5th and 6th innings would cut the Indian’s deficit in half at 6-3, but Reedsville would respond in the bottom of the 6th with five runs of their own to put the game out of reach at 11-3.
Mishicot pitcher Eli Skarda would take the loss after giving up eight runs, eight hits, with six walks.
The Indian’s offense was led by Bennett Grossheim, who had two hits and two RBI on the day, with Seth Rauber adding two hits as well.
Skarda would help his own cause as he registered the Indian’s other lone RBI on a sacrifice.
Mishicot will have a chance at revenge against Reedsville as the two teams are slated to battle it out again tomorrow (May 14th), this time on the Indian’s home diamond.
