There are thousands of books to pick from at Manitowoc Public Library. Did you know that there’s even more stories available to you online? It’s true! Your Library Card lets you enjoy digital materials like eBooks, Audiobooks, and Magazines through Libby, the online reading app. If you’re new to eBooks and want to learn everything Libby has to offer, come to Manitowoc Public Library on Wednesday, May 21, for a demonstration and hands-on assistance with the Libby app.
Our staff is here to help you get started on Libby. They’ll show you how to download the free Libby app, borrow digital materials, and answer any questions you have. By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to experience the literature you love in an entirely new way.
Libby works on most smart phones, Kindles, iPads, and many other popular reading devices. Their vast collection includes Fiction, Nonfiction, Children’s Books, Romance, Science Fiction—essentially any genre and reading level that you want. They are all waiting for you on Libby!

There are many benefits to using Libby. All your checkouts are stored on your reading device, so they’re great for travel and reading outdoors. Audiobooks sound crystal clear (no scratches or missing discs!). Read hundreds of magazines without paying subscription fees. In fact, everything on Libby is 100% free! There are no overdue fees because Libby automatically returns your items on time.
Please bring your Library Card, your preferred reading device (smart phone, Kindle, etc.), and have your passwords at the ready. Patrons of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
Join us Wednesday, May 21, at 10 AM on MPL’s Second Floor Board Room to learn how you can start enjoying free eBooks, Audiobooks, and Magazines from anywhere with Libby!
