Numerous lanes in Sheboygan County will be closed or partially closed this week for scheduled maintenance.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced that Interstate 43 and State Highway 23 will have crews out for work until Thursday (May 15th) at the latest.
On Highway 23, pavement repairs will be made on the east and westbound lanes between County Road P and I-43.
This work is scheduled to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, and a moving lane closure will be in place during repairs.
I-43 will have work performed in three separate spots in Sheboygan County this week, including repairing a beam guard in the southbound lane at County Lane Road.
Pavement repairs will also be made to both lanes between Highway 23 and the southern county line.
Both of these projects on I-43 will also have moving lane closures in place.
However, 43 will be closed in both directions until tomorrow afternoon between County Highway OK and Wilson Lima Road as crews repair a cable guard adjacent to both lanes.
The DOT has said that all traffic impacts and work timelines are weather-dependent and subject to change.
