Nearly 1,000 nurses at UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital have issued a strike notice, planning to walk out on May 27th if a new contract isn’t reached.
Represented by SEIU Healthcare, the nurses cite stalled negotiations.
The hospital expressed disappointment, warning that a strike could burden both staff and patients.
