It’s not really spring until the S.S. Badger Car Ferry appears over the horizon.
Visit Manitowoc is once again gearing up for the grand return of the iconic 440-foot vessel and the start of the 2025 sailing season.
Everyone is invited to welcome the Badger back to Manitowoc on Friday, May 16th, with the celebration beginning at 11:30 a.m. at 900 South Lakeview Drive.
The Manitowoc Lincoln High School Marching Band will perform, LondonDairy Alpacas will be on hand, as will the Red Hatters, local elementary school students, and food trucks, including China Wok Bubble Tea, Nina’s Pita Hut, and Vue’s Thai Street Food.
Event attendees can also enjoy free Hartman’s Bakery treats courtesy of Visit Manitowoc while supplies last.
WOMT Radio will also be on hand for a live report in the noon news.
The S.S. Badger will continue to operate daily from May 16th through October 12th, with regular overnight crossings running June 20th through September 1st.
