We are now less than a week away from the Tee It Up Fore Troops Golf Outing, and the organizers are hoping to surpass a major milestone.
Over the past two years, over $46,000 was raised for Old Glory Honor Flight, meaning 92 local veterans were able to take a free trip to Washington, D.C. to experience the war memorials.
This year, Tee it Up Fore Troops looks to surpass the $50,000 mark, which would account for an entire plane load of veterans.
While there are no more golf slots available for the event on Thursday (May 15th) at Autumn Ridge Golf Course, everyone is invited to try out the putting and chipping contests, and to bid on raffle baskets between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
More details about the event and photos from previous Old Glory Honor Flight trips can be found on the Tee It Up Fore Troops Golf Outing Facebook page.
