Lakeland University is honoring a longtime professor who recently passed away.
The University has announced the passing of Ron Haas, who had been with Lakeland for more than three decades.

Haas was a U.S. Army veteran, a first-generation college student, and a Lakeland graduate after earning his master’s and doctoral degrees in mathematics before starting his career as a professor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 24th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeland University chapel, followed by a luncheon reception at the Campus Center Event Space at 12:30 p.m.
Haas was 78 at the time of his passing.
