Most major crime numbers in the City of Oshkosh continue to drop.
Each month, the Oshkosh Police Department releases crime data, and of the nine categories they track, all but three are down from this time last year.
Crimes such as homicide and arson are down 100% as none have occurred this year while one of each took place last year up until this point.
However, crimes such as sex offenses, simple assault, and robbery are up in 2025.
Sex offenses this year have been 17% more common, while simple assault is up 2% and robbery is up 500%.
Other significant drops came in the form of theft and motor vehicle theft, down 25% and 35%, respectively.
Oshkosh also saw nine OWI arrests, four weapon violations, and 38 narcotic offenses in April.
The Oshkosh Police Department releases this data monthly to educate citizens while showing them just how effective their officers have been at keeping the community safe.
These numbers in April follow a similar trend over the past calendar year which shows crime, as a whole, is steadily declining in the City of Oshkosh.
