Entering the 6th inning, the Lancers held a 5-4 lead, but then the Indians exploded for 6 runs, and Eli Skarda locked it down on the mound to secure the 5-run victory.
Skarda went the distance, allowing 7 hits while striking out a pair of batters, while the Lancers used three pitchers throughout the contest.
Jax Vogel Notch a pair of hits for the Indians, while Daryn Smith, Skarda, Nolan Sand, Brogan Wasurick, and Seth Rauber each had one hit on the day, with Rauber also accounting for 3 RBI.
As for the Lancers, Logan Haupt had a pair of hits, and only one batter failed to get a hit.
With the win, the Indians improve to 6-8 on the season and 4-2 in conference play as they get ready to host a triangular tomorrow (May 10th) against Algoma and Brillion.
The Lancers drop to 6-6 and 3-3 in conference.
They won’t be back in action until Monday, when they will travel to St. Mary Catholic.
