A feature of Downtown Sheboygan that has become a beloved commodity is set to return next week.
The city’s Board of Marina, Parks, and Forestry met on Tuesday (May 6th) which included a discussion on a Park Report from Parks and Forestry Superintendent Joe Kerlin.
In this report, Kerlin revealed that the St. Clair Avenue Parklet will make its debut on Monday (May 15th).
The parklet, located in the 800 block of St. Clair in between The Spices Restaurant and Paradigm Coffee and Music, will again be set up in the street, meaning traffic through this section of St. Clair will be closed for the rest of spring and summer.
Efforts have been made recently to make the parklet permanent, year-round, but it will remain a seasonal feature for Downtown Sheboygan in 2025.
However, Kerlin stated in his report that this year’s parklet will feature a new design and new equipment onsite, aiming to improve the experience for those who use the space while enjoying the downtown area.
