The new Ollie’s discount store in Manitowoc is officially open.
A large line of people gathered at the store next to Hobby Lobby yesterday (May 7th) to be welcomed by employees with a ribbon cutting.
Shoppers then funneled in to look around the store.
Regional Director Ken Missig said it was an exciting day to add another Ollie’s store to the many opened in Wisconsin.
He says the company has been looking at stores opening in the Badger State for about two years.
“We felt like it was a great fit for the business model that we have,” he explained. “We’re an extreme discounter, and we have a lot of great stuff at great prices and we think that works well in a lot of these markets, Manitowoc in particular.”
Messig says if customers stop in, they can find great prices on brand-name goods.
Messig stated, “Folks can come in and see great a lot of really great brands that they know, love, and buy all the time at extremely discounted prices.”
Ollie’s is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sundays. There are over 574 stores nationwide.
