Construction of portions of Manitowoc County roads begins today (May 8th).
One project occurs just north of Manitowoc on County Road R from County Road P, or Homestead Road, to Highway 310.
The other project is County Road Y from County Road R, or Novy Road, to County Road Q, west of Mishicot.
Both road projects will be “Open for Local Traffic Only” and consist of milling before getting a final layer of asphalt, shouldering, and pavement marking.
Detours will be posted for regular traffic for both projects. For the project north of Manitowoc, drivers will be detoured to County Road P to Highway 310 back to R.
Drivers for the County Road Y project will be detoured to Highway 147 to County Road Q.
Both projects are expected to be completed by mid-June, depending on the weather.
