The Sheboygan Police Department is looking for individuals who want to give back to their community.
The police department is now accepting applications from energetic and community-minded residents for their volunteer team to support the city’s officers.
Police department volunteers would assist in numerous fields, including sorting old prescription meds, delivering subpoenas, assisting in fingerprinting, role-playing in officer training drills, and more.
In order to qualify for the volunteer team, applicants are required to be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years of age, pass a background and fingerprint check, and complete a brief interview.
Those who are selected to join the volunteer team will receive no compensation but will aid the police department in keeping Sheboygan safe.
Anyone interested in submitting an application or seeking additional information is asked to contact Lieutenant Andy Kundinger with the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3358 or via email at Andrew.kundinger@sheboyganwi.gov.
