A road in Sheboygan is set to be closed for multiple months, beginning this week.
The City of Sheboygan’s Department of Public Works has shared that North 25th Street from Superior Avenue to North Avenue will close for construction work, starting on Friday (May 9th).
This work will include water main replacements, storm and sanitary sewer repairs, curb and gutter work, and sidewalk repairs, along with ADA-accessible ramp replacements and new asphalt pavement on the road itself.
Construction will close North 25th Street to through traffic, and residences in the work zone will be accessible using cross streets.
At this time, the Sheboygan DPW estimates that the construction project will be completed sometime in August.
However, all work and traffic impacts are subject to change and are weather-dependent.
While work is done on North 25th Street and other areas in Sheboygan, the City asks motorists to exhibit caution near workers and to adhere to listed speed limits or other traffic regulations in the area.
