An artist from Oostburg has been selected as the Artist of the Month for May in Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Visitor Center has announced that artist Christy Myers has received the distinction.
Myers is a lifelong artist, educator, and creative force, beginning her love for art at a very early age.
For her work, she takes strong inspiration from the natural beauty of Sheboygan and the Midwest.
Myers prides herself on her ability to explore new mediums, including her most recent focus on plein air painting.
Aside from her artwork itself, she also serves as the President of Sheboygan Visual Arts, Inc.
In this role, she stands as a strong advocate for local artists, believing that each of them creates art in their own unique way.
Myers’ work is on display at the Sheboygan Visitor Center located at 826 South 8th Street and is available for viewing anytime during regular business hours in the month of May.
