An all-star runner who graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran is now a colligate champion.
Brooklyn Luebke, who now competes for UW Lacrosse, earned a gold medal in the 5000-meter run at the WIAC Championships.
Luebke finished the race in a time of 17:15.77.
Luebke is a 2022 graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran, and Coach Abbey Bubolz calls her “incredibly humble and hardworking. She exhibited those traits in high school and continues to in her college running as well. She has worked through successes and challenges, and this win was a testament to her perseverance and trusting in God’s plan for her running career.”
She also holds the Lutheran school record in the 1600 and 3200-meter events, and is the record holder in the Cross Country 5k.
