The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office has shown its appreciation to all those who volunteered their time over the last year.
The 2024 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon was held last week, where Sheriff’s Office volunteers were recognized for their continued dedication and effort.
At the luncheon, Sheriff Dan Hartwig presented all volunteers with a certification for the combined 2,160 hours of work completed in 2024.
However, two volunteers stood above the rest for the time dedicated to helping out.
Al Krajnik was presented a recognition plaque for 403 volunteer hours worked, the most in 2024 along with Chuck Muench, the second most active volunteer, netting 284 hours.
Others honored with the certification included Roger Bauer, Jeffrey Beckerleg, Bob Blattler, Norb Pellow, John Schroeder, Leigh Schroeder, Duane Stoehr, and Carl Wardman.
Since the inception of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office volunteer program, a total of 129,799 hours have been volunteered.
