More details about a Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation grant for the City of Kiel have come out.
Progress Lakeshore explains that the $60,000 grant will help small businesses in the Riverwalk District grow by providing low-interest loans for building improvements and financial support to enhance their success.
Awardees will also get 1 on 1 business counseling from the local economic development agency.
City Administrator Dave Funkhouser says, “The Small Business Development Grant is a significant opportunity to continue supporting Kiel’s local entrepreneurs and small businesses.”
So far, 19 organizations across Wisconsin have received nearly $3.2 million in grants so far.
